We visited Shenzhen FAIR plus 2026, an exhibition of Shenzhen’s best AI and Robotics brands! Astounding expo, check out the video:
The first impression when we entered the exhibition hall was simple and direct: the venue was packed with people, and the energy was incredibly high.
Visitors, developers, robotics companies, industry partners, and technology enthusiasts from around the world gathered in Shenzhen to explore the latest progress in robotics technology, robotics applications, humanoid robots, robot arms, dexterous hands, mobile robot platforms, robot perception, and real-world robotics deployment.
The strong turnout at FAIR plus 2026 also reminded us why Shenzhen continues to be recognized as one of the world’s most dynamic technology cities. Shenzhen is not only home to fast-moving hardware innovation, but also to a highly connected robotics supply chain, a mature manufacturing ecosystem, and a growing number of world-class Chinese robotics companies.
Meeting these partners face to face helped us see the robotics industry from a more practical perspective. The global robotics market is moving from “technology demonstration” to “real-world robotics applications,” and from “what robots can do” to “where robots can create value.”
It was exciting to see so many of our suppliers at the exhibition. We felt proud that in just two years, OpenELAB has been able to connect with and represent so many excellent Chinese brands. At the same time, this exhibition gave us a much clearer and more intuitive understanding of the robotics product line. We also connected with many potential partners at the event, and we look forward to expanding our product line and bringing more Chinese intelligent manufacturing to the world.
Before visiting the exhibition, my understanding of robotics still felt quite abstract. Being on-site made it much more direct. Many of the demos weren’t just about showing technology — they were about telling an application story that people could immediately understand.
A robotic arm folding clothes or a dexterous hand picking up grapes may look simple, but they make one thing clear: where the technology can actually be used.It also made me realize that in this industry, communication is less about specifications and more about scenarios.Another important takeaway was how much collaboration with suppliers still depends on offline interactions. A lot of understanding and trust is built through face-to-face conversations, which is critical for future market alignment.
As robotics moves from a “technical concept” to something that can be clearly communicated in real-world contexts, it becomes much easier to integrate into actual workflows.
At exhibitions, many robots feature components from brands like Damyu and Orbbec. While these names might not be in the direct line of sight of the general public, their superior performance empowers backend robotic products to achieve truly striking results.
It is similar to how the mention of robotics immediately brings Unitree to mind. When seeking high-quality robotic vision cameras, people naturally associate them with the cameras Unitree uses. This approach allows the “enabling” brand to resonate more effectively with the desired promotional message, while simultaneously leveraging the reputation of a larger, established brand as a guarantee of quality.
It was my first time attending a robotics exhibition of this scale. My main tasks were to collect materials and record information.
The roll-up banners and flyers from different companies varied a lot in design. Some made it clear at a glance what they were selling, while others still left me unsure of the key message after reading them. Seeing the actual products on-site was also much more intuitive than looking at pictures. Some product details and textures simply cannot be conveyed through promotional images.
For me, the most practical takeaway was gaining a better sense of what kind of content actually attracts attention in this industry. Since I’ll be responsible for operating the X platform going forward, today helped me start getting a real feel for it.
