PCB production equipment

Hi there —– We need PCB production equipment. What milling cutters are available? What is their durability and service life?

I’m interested in this product. Can anyone answer me???

Hi there, thank you very much for your inquiry and your interest in our Cubiko CNC milling machine for PCB production.

The following milling tools are already included in the machine’s delivery scope for PCB manufacturing:

  • 10 x milling tools
  • 7 x 30-degree V-bits (typically used for conductor track isolation milling)
  • 3 x 1/8-inch drills (typically used for plated through-hole/ mounting holes)

You can easily purchase additional compatible milling cutters and drills in these standard dimensions as needed; the machine is designed for common 1/8-inch shank tools.

Regarding the durability and service life of the milling cutters:

This is not a fixed value and depends heavily on the operating conditions, for example:

  • The primary material being machined (e.g. PCBs only vs. wood/plastic/metal as well)
  • Cutting speed and feed rate (excessively high feed rates or rotational speeds will reduce service life)
  • Chip cooling/removal (e.g. air flow, occasional cleaning)
  • Tool care and maintenance (regular cleaning, timely replacement of dull tools)

With gentle use for PCB machining only, combined with suitable parameters and effective chip removal, the milling cutters can be used to produce numerous PCBs until wear becomes noticeable via reduced cutting quality (blurred edges, increased burrs).

If you wish, we can send you sample cutting parameters for typical FR4 PCBs as well as a recommendation for replacement milling cutter sets.
